Firewood processor ALTO KSK-62 – road models

The firewood processor ALTO KSK-62 is a serious performer in its class. For its power, the machine is efficient and comfortable for cutting both small and large logs into firewood.

The machine has one large cover, which makes it comfortable to operate. ALTO KSK-62 is equipped with a 15-inch saw bar, which cuts logs up to 38 cm in diameter, with a maximum firewood length of 62 cm. The machine has an in-feed conveyor as standard, which is fast, reliable and easy to operate. The saw feed and the in-feed conveyor are controlled with the same lever.

Each customer can configure their own machine. All accessories are attached with bolted joints. The drawbar and axle of the towable firewood processor are bolted on and street-legal. The power source can be a petrol engine or an electric motor. Saw chain lubrication is automatic, and the oil amount can be adjusted to the log diameter.

The firewood processor is equipped with a special accelerator valve, which regulates the force and speed of the cylinder according to the strength and length of the wood. Thinner wood is split faster. With thicker logs, the machine applies full force at the start of the split and accelerates later. The splitting cycle of ALTO KSK-62 is 4.2 seconds, which is one of the fastest among machines of this kind. The cycle time applies to splitting a fifty-centimetre log. The saw feed speed can be adjusted to the log diameter.

A log lifter and a blade that splits a block into six pieces can be ordered as optional equipment. On the in-feed conveyor the log can be moved forwards and backwards.

On the 2021 models, the splitter (log splitting unit) has a separate control. It can be switched on and off with a separate hand lever.

All ALTO KSK-62 road models have EU type approval. The machine can be registered in all EU countries.
